Client Background Our client specializes in selling 3C (computer, communication, and consumer electronics) products, with a focus on microphone arms designed for live streaming.
Challenge
The original microphone stand had a weight capacity of only 1 kilogram, but many of the microphones on the market require a stand that can support at least 1.5 kilograms. Additionally, the client wanted to reduce the risk of parts falling off during customer assembly, which had been a common issue.
Solution
We redesigned the base of the microphone stand to enhance its grip and weight capacity, ensuring it could now support heavier microphones. Furthermore, we added washers between the knobs and clips to prevent the clips from detaching when the knob was loosened, minimizing the risk of parts falling during assembly.
Results
1. We successfully met the client’s requirements, and the redesigned arm passed all relevant tests.
2. The improved weight capacity made the product more popular in the market, increasing sales and customer interest.
